Living the New Life

Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:13
“So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon David.”

David, the youngest and least likely candidate, was chosen by God not because of his status, but because of his heart. When Samuel anointed him, the Spirit of the Lord empowered David for his calling. This divine empowerment was David’s true qualification.

Personal Encouragement:
God’s calling does not depend on our abilities or status; it depends on His Spirit within us. If your heart is aligned with God’s, He will equip you for whatever He calls you to do.

Action Step:
Spend time in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to fill and empower you for the tasks ahead. Identify one area in your life where you need His strength and guidance, and invite Him to lead you in that area today.
